Thank you, again, for the prayers for my grandma and family. A positive thing is that the oncologist thinks maybe the cancer is not as far spread as he thought at first. The negative thing is that she is very ill. She can't eat, has awful abdominal pain and constant vomiting, and she's so weak - she can't walk on her own. All of these are symptoms of kidney cancer.
She was just recently so healthy and vibrant - she's 85 years old and the doctor thought she was 60 before he looked at her date of birth. And now she's so sick. It's just been such a shock. She's truly the kindest person I know - her whole life. She doesn't complain, she always, always sees good in people - no matter how they treat her or anyone else. We're scared of what comes next - and, more importantly, so is she.
Please pray for her heart and mind, and for her body. We don't want her to suffer - we're praying she won't suffer.
Thanks so much.
Thank you for your prayers for my grandmother and my family.
Today she was told her kidney cancer is at stage three. The doctor thinks it is also in her bladder and lymph nodes. Now we just have to wait to hear the doctors' plans. Please continue to pray for her and for her doctors.
Please pray for a struggling marriage. Pray for restoration, peace, love and friendship to be known.
Please continue to pray for my grandmother (diagnosed with kidney cancer almost two weeks ago) as she sees the oncologist tomorrow (finally!) to learn more about her options and the stage of the cancer.
Pray for her (Kay) - physically, emotionally, spiritually; and for the doctors treating her; and for my mother taking her to the doctor tomorrow.
Thanks so much.
I had an interview for a job at the group home in my hometown and it was fine. I am waiting for them to contact me if they accept me to work there. First thing, I have to wait for background check. I will like to have your prayers for me to have this job that I would really enjoy. I've a faith but I want to know will I get a job there.
Friends,
I am writing to request prayer and listing on any prayer list you may have for my 8 month old granddaughter Sydney Baxter (daugher of Krisha Musick Baxter) who has been diagnosed with an extremely rare congenital heart disease known as Scimitar syndrome. She will undergo a heart catherization on September 12 which will diagnose the necessary next steps including open-heart surgery. Please pray for strength for Sydney and all of our family, ask God to guide us to the best surgeon as we move forward and that God's will in this matter is that Sydney will be healed.
Krisha does not want this on Facebook so please don't post anything. She does not want to expend her emotional energy on anything but her family. She has, however, given us permission to request prayers from our friends. Once we have a clearer picture of Sydney’s diagnosis we will get more information out.
Blessings, Coletta (Grandma to Sydney and mother to Krisha)
Please pray for my uncle Jim. He is undergoing tests to determine the ultimate neurological problem in his brain. Give his family strength to deal with the behavior he has been displaying. Please give the doctors guidance to know how to get him the help that he needs. Thank you!
Please pray for Vickie Closson who is in the hospital undergoing tests from complications from surgery last week. Please pray for the medical team that they quickly diagnose and are able to treat the problems. Please pray for Vickie that she knows that God's strength, comfort, love and compassion are with her at this time - and that the thoughts and prayers of her church family are with her too. Please pray for her family that they can always rely on God's strength and comfort.
Stacey Bright is having surgery this morning for her appendix - please pray for her.
A few days ago I asked for prayers for my grandma, Kay, as she was on her way to the ER. They did find a mass in her kidney, with a 20% chance it was cancer. Well, it IS cancer. It takes up almost half of her kidney. She just found out today so we don't know too many details. The doctor noted that he didn't think it had spread, but he couldn't say for sure. He also mentioned that they'd likely remove her kidney. She sees the next doctor (a surgeon? or oncological surgeon? I don't know!) a week from Monday.
My grandfather is inconsolable, as is my mother, which leaves grandma taking care of them instead of the other way around. Please pray for all of us to be able to support her and help carry her through this. She is 85 years old and has always been very healthy, so this is quite a blow. She is so special and I think of her as my other mom. I just can't bear the thought of what this disease could do to her.
Please pray that this awful disease can be contained. Please pray for her as she copes, as well as my grandfather and the rest of the family. Also prayers for the doctors who treat her - for wisdom and a good plan.
